Back from Vacation

We just returned from our annual trip to Graeagle (Feather River area) on Sunday. It' not one of those relaxation vacations where you just sit around the beach and do nothing all day. It's a very active - hiking, biking, swimming - sort of vacation. We love that sort of stuff. Some highlights of our trip were our hike to Bear and Little Bear Lakes, Frazier Falls, boat ride on Sardine Lake, swimming in the Feather River and the mill pond, the amazing fireworks over the Graeagle Mill Pond and visiting the Mills Peak Lookout.

This year Jack (since he's only 2 hours away) came to visit and played some golf with Alex and Colin. Colin had his own clubs and did the 9 holes with them. It was the cutest thing. Our friends from Santa Rosa (Holly, Matt, Rachel and Ryan) came up for 4 days as well. It was the first time for both Jack and the Thomas family to visit Graeagle. They all had a blast. I hope they'll come up next year too.

We were short 5 very important people this year. Emily, Derek, Leah, Adam and Grandma Doris were all unable to make the trek this year. We were sad they couldn't be there to hang out with. I sure missed the "ladies" hike this year Emily!

Some of the family took a "memorial hike" to the top of the Sierra Buttes to commemorate the fact that Louis is here with us after his successful Liver transplant back in December 2006. The hike was too long for Colin and so we'll do it in a few years.

I've uploaded some pictures for you to look at on Shutterfly. Click HERE to view them.
