New York

Why the change in my template? Well, after I get done with my last 3 tests (in the next 7 days) I'm headed to NY to visit my cousin Kitty who is graduating from college. The past few weeks have been take up with lab time getting ready for the test I just took on the special senses (hearing and vision) as well as the entire digestive system. These exams cover not only the gross anatomy, but histology (microanatomy) of the featured systems. I know I rocked this last exam and I'm looking forward to tomorrow get my latest grade. My next lab exam is covering urinary, respiratory, reproductive, and endocrine systems. The final is comprehensive and is on the SAME NIGHT as my 3rd midterm. Yikes!

Update on Colin. He's so excited to be a "reader". He began reading officially about two weeks ago. He's been reading the BOB book series, which is a beginner series that gradually adds in new words and punctuation. Pretty simple stuff, but exciting nonetheless. It's amazing to see the light in his eyes when he reads. Mind you, this is nothing that's been forced upon him; he sought it out on his own. Although, we read to him every night and I do believe what they say....reading begins at home.

Colin is also still playing soccer for Little Kickers and just this Saturday made two goals. It's not competitive by any means, just for fun and he certainly gets a workout.

Colin was accepted into Village Charter School for Kindergarten starting later this year and he's very excited to turn 5.

We're all looking forward to our vacations this year, especially Feather River where we can hopefully get in some relaxing.

Well, back to the books...
