Today we went to the Discovery Museum in Sausalito. We took Colin's buddy from Kindergarten (and previously from pre-school) with us as his mom was not able to make it. Here are some pictures from the Chinese New Year celebration. The drumming accompanying the dancing was amazing, heart thumping and energetic. At one point I saw Dylan mouthing to Colin, "can you feel it in your heart...thump thump". The boys really enjoyed the dancing lions pictured below.
The picture of the boys with the GG Bridge in the background is horribly backlit, but the view of the bridge was so fantastic and I wanted something special to show Dylan's mom from the day.
My Iphone pictures don't do the the costumes justice. They are so intricate and beautiful with bright reds, greens, blues, and gold. Seeing these dancers and drummers today made me want to go to an official Chinese New Year celebration in San Franciso.
