Christmas Update 2005

Dear Family and Friends,

This year has been one of great happiness and great sadness. The joys of being 1st time parents, has been one of the most exhausting and also the most wonderful. The sadness of losing a parent has been a time of learning and reflection. The ups and downs of corporate life have brought exhilaration and stress, but through it all, we’ve remained a strong family and we are truly blessed to have each other and you as well.

Colin has grown so much and is now using sign language and some words to communicate to us. He’s also walking. His love is for tractors and anything with wheels. Books are another love. He is really intrigued by all the pictures and loves to turn the pages. We just can’t get enough of our little boy.

Our great happiness was tempered with great sadness with losing my mother and grandfather. Sharon passed away August 21st here in Santa Rosa. Your prayers and condolences are much appreciated. Grandpa Ben passed away just a few days after Thanksgiving with his sisters and niece by his side. We will miss them tremendously over the coming years.

Alex marked 10 years with ZAP and he’s been super busy trying to turn this “little engine that could” into a great big locomotive. He’s continuing to play both indoor and outdoor soccer for the Black Oaks. He also continued his charity work with For Pete’s Sake, a local rugby/soccer organization. They finally finished the all-weather field and played the 1st game. He’s also found a new music partner and he’s enjoying this time to jam.

In addition to taking care of Colin full-time I have been dabbling in my work as a Loan Officer & Real Estate agent working for Diversified Lending. It’s been really great to contribute something to the family income while still maintaining my commitment to being a full-time mother.

We’ve added four fish to our household, which we inherited from our neighbor. They occupy Colin’s room and he loves to tell us what they say (smacking of the lips by Colin). Tigger the cat loves to watch the fish and plot how he can “rescue” one from the water. Rudy has become a great companion to Colin. He sits right near him especially during mealtime and has gathered many a crumb from his trusty boy.

May you have peace and joy in 2006.

Love, Alex, Naomi and Colin Campbell
