What a Song Bird

It always amazes me as I lay in bed listening to Colin waking up, he always awakes with a song. Today waking up from his nap, I hear him singing "the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout...". He laughs to himself and says "good job Colin". He's always singing some sort of tune. My favorite times are in the grocery story, when he belts out "ABCD..." or "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...". He knows all the words and the melody and he's not shy about it. Now that I think of it, Alex's side of the family is known for breaking into song at the drop of a hat. So, is it inhertited or is it all the music we play every day at home, in the car, singing to him. YES...I sing to him (way off key), but I do sing. Our new favorite is "On Top of Old Smokey".

Off the topic of songs...This weekend we had the greatest time taking Colin to ride his trike down the Gration portion of the West County Trail. Saturday night Colin rode almost 2 miles. Not once did I carry the trike. He rode the entire way. Today we went back for round two and we rode about a mile down another portion of the trail.

Saturday we also took Colin to his first soccer class at Sports City. Colin is on the Thumpers team and he had the best time with all the other two year olds and his coaches. We took loads of video and some pictures that I will upload later.
