Hello..it's been a while. Our DSL was down and it's been a nightmare trying to function with dial-up service. We're finally back up. By the way. NEVER try to switch to Vonage. To be blunt, they SUCK!!!!! Anyway, now that we have that out of the way. In other news....
We had Colin's 2nd birthday party on September 30th at Pioneer Park. All his little friends were there and he had a blast running around with them. The kids had a great time digging a giant sand tunnel.
On October 4th at Kindergym, Colin broke his leg. It's called a spiral fracture of the Tibia. He jumped off an 18" platform and landed wrong on his right leg fracturing it. It looks like a candycane on the xray. We just had another xray today and the doctor says he's healing well, but to plan on another 2 to 4 weeks in the cast for final healing.
On a happier note, Colin was called up for preschool prep at College Oak Montessori. He's been on the waiting list for 7 months and will now go 3x per week for 3 hours each day. We're so excited for him to be there and his 1st day went so wonderfu. He blended right in to the class (7 kids) and had a great time.
On October 10th and 11th Colin and I ventured to Monterey with our friends from Oklahoma (Teara and Aaron Whitaker). We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The kids loved the Sea Otters, Jellies, Great White Shark and Penguins. We're planning to go back again during Winter break in December. This time Colin will not have his cast on and it will be much more fun for him.
We've been collecting pumpkins for our front porch and we now have one in each color of orange, white and green. Tomorrow we got with Colin's preschool to a the pumpkin patch in Healdsburg.
Our cousin Kitty has been visiting for a few weeks and it's been fun hanging out with her. We celebrated her birthday at Abbie & Johnny's new house in Marin. We even had a girls slumber party night and it was great to get away for the night while Alex and Colin had a boys night in. We also went to see Sufjan in concert on the Berkeley campus. He was so fabulous, words cannot describe the scene, but if you get the chance to see him, please do so.
Alex got a new ZAP Zebra car and he's been driving it around everywhere and getting plenty of looks all over town.
I hope to be much more active with my blog now that our DSL is back.
