Dear Family and Friends,
As 2006 draws to a close we are truly thankful for each and every one of you in our lives. We only wish there were more hours in the day in which to share them with those we love. Our year has been quite eventful and we’re looking forward to what 2007 will bring.
Alex has been keeping busy with his music. He plays bass every Monday night with friends in Rincon Valley. His longtime music partner moved down South, but they too have been able to catch a session now and then. He’s still heavily involved with For Pete’s Sake, the non-profit organization dedicated to bringing to fruition the dreams of Peter Eirmann (a local Rugby star) who passed away several years ago. The Rugby field was finished this year and the 1st games are being played on the field. Alex is also playing soccer with the Black Oaks Soccer Club, which he helped to found with his childhood pals. He also remains steadfast in his commitment to ZAP, celebrating 11 years there this year. ZAP has had several ups and downs, but is making huge strides in the electric vehicle market. Alex purchased the all-electric ZAP Xebra car and drives it to and from work and around town for errands. He’s making quite a splash in Santa Rosa with his Zebra-striped car.
Colin has had a great second year, minus one mishap in October when he broke his right Tibia in a freak KinderGym accident where he landed wrong after a jump. He wore the cast for 6 weeks, but is now back to his old self, running, jumping and cruising the neighborhood on his trike. Colin started preschool prep this year at College Oak Montessori. He really enjoys the curriculum; the other kids and his teachers Jeanne and Wendy are absolutely fabulous. He asks every day if he gets to go preschool. He’s also really enjoyed getting together with his friends and cousins for trips to the zoo, riding on the Skunk Train, Train Town and the Funky Monkey party place.
Naomi has been enjoying every minute of being a stay-at-home mother to Colin. He brings such joy into her life and seeing him enter pre-school has been another fun milestone. She’s also been continuing her work with Diversified Lending and Real Estate. Diversified Lending opened several new offices this year and moved their Santa Rosa office into the heart of downtown. It will be a great new opportunity for Diversified.
Major Travels: In March we visited Alex’s grandmother Gladys in Reno. In April, Naomi took her first solo trip since giving birth to Colin, visiting cousins Amy, Allyson and Anika in Incline Village. June was our annual trip to Feather River with Alex’s side of the family; we made two trips to Monterey (one with long time friends from Oklahoma) and three trips to Mt.Lassen to visit Jack.
In other family news, we welcomed a new addition to the family. In May, John Kearns married my cousin Abbie in a beautiful ceremony in San Rafael, CA. We are truly happy for the two of them and anxiously await the arrival of baby Kearns in the Spring.
We’re very excited to celebrate the Christmas festivities with our family and friends and for all the good to come. May you have a prosperous 2007.
Love, Alex, Naomi and Colin Campbell
