Hello again. Seems like I can never find the time to update this blog. My April 2007 resolution is to be more on top of it (yeah right!).
Late in February Colin and took a trip to Mt.Lassen to visit Jack for a few days. The snow was so much fun. Many of you know how much Colin loves to throw rocks into any body of water (lake, stream, puddle), and this trip to Lassen was no exception. He was facinated by the fact that this time when he threw rocks they made bubbles under the ice that covered the lake. What joy for a boy!
In March, Alex, Colin, cousin Rowan and I went to Lake Tahoe (Incline Village). We stayed very close to the lake and were able to both play in the snow and on the beach. We drove up to Mt. Rose to play in the last of the snow. Lakeside was sunny and warm and the kids waded in the calm water and played on the jungle gym. Colin had a great time with cousin Rowan. Colin is so excited to have cousins to play with, although, I'm sure Rowan would prefer that Colin not show his pleasure via body slamming and him while yelling, "we're cousin's, wahoooo!". It was super cute. We also met up with cousins Amy, Allyson and Anika for an evening of bowling at the local bowling lanes. With the help of the bumpers not one of us had a gutter ball. On this trip we also visited Great Grandma Gladys ("GGG"). The boys had a great time playing in her garden and chasing around her dog Rosco. Rosco wasn't as amused.
Thus far in April we went to Marine World with cousins Maya, Rowan, Adam, Leah, Auntie's Emily & Nancy and Nana Sue. Colin's favorite was seeing Sunny the dolphin again and the Walrus's.
We went to an Easter egg hunt in Windsor with friends and then spent Easter morning in Sebastopol with the cousins.
We just returned from another trip to Lassen. This time Alex was able to join us. We met up with sisters Lisa & Jill and newphew Joshua as well. We had a full house this time and it was great to see them after an entire year.
