As many of you know I am taking on the Nursing profession with gusto. I've already passed my state exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and this week and next I am taking the Acute Care class where I will be working at Memorial Hospital shadowing a Care Partner and assisting with his/her duties. My home floor will be Telemetry (Telemetry Nurses read and interpret electrocardiogram information). I will also have the opportunity to rotate into at least two other departments. I've picked the ED (Emergency Department) and the OR (Operating Room) as my rotation departments. The ED rotation is a two hour rotation and the OR can be from 4 to 8 hours. I'm excited to say the least.
Things are also going well in Biology this semester. I just took my 1st midterm last night at only missed 2 questions (scoring a 98%). I'm so glad that test is over!
Thankfully Dad, Barbara, Sue and Jack are pitching in to cover our childcare needs as the class is 8 hours a day for 7 days and Colin only goes to preschool in the mornings.

Way to go on your awesome midterm! How was your acute care training? I bet that was interesting!
You go girl, I think you look pretty cute in your blue scrubs. I'll miss seeing you in the hospital halls next week. The CT scan techs already miss you.
I'm proud of you.
